
Gluten Free French Toast
Ingredients
- 6 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp nutmeg divided
- 1 tbsp cinnamon divided
- 12 slices gluten free bread
Instructions
- Mix eggs, milk, and vanilla together in a low dish wide enough to put at least two slices of bread side by side.
- Add about 1/3 of the total nutmeg and cinnamon and mix thoroughly.
- Heat the frying pan or electric skillet to medium-medium high. Add butter to the pan before each peice of bread.
- Soak slices bread for two minutes per side then add to the pan. Cook until browned on both sides and the middle starts to puff up.
- Add the remaining spices as the floating spices are used up in the egg batter. Mix well each time before adding more slices of bread.
- Serve with butter and maple syrup or any other toppings you like.
