
Gluten Free BBQ Pizza
Ingredients
- 1 recipe pizza dough
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 4 cups shredded cheese
- 1 onion
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 cups pulled chicken or pork
- ¼ cup bacon cooked and chopped
- ¼ cup cilantro optional
- ½ cup bbq sauce
Instructions
- Prepare pizza dough according to the recipe or use a prepared crust. See note 1
- Thinly slice the onion and cook in a pan with the butter until onions are carmelized.
- Spread about 1 cup of marinara sauce and ¼ cup bbq sauce on the ready to bake pizza crust.
- Spread the cheese over the top, reserving about a half cup.
- Spread the chicken or pork over the cheese and carmalized onions and bacon on top.
- Sprinkle the reserved ½ of cheese on top and drizzle the rest of the bbq sauce evenly over the top.
- Bake for about 10-15 minutes or until dough is baked and cheese is melted.
- Add the chopped cilantro on top as a garnish (optional) right before serving.
