Sometimes a gluten free recipe is great! It gets you the end product that you want. And most gluten free bloggers will tell you that you need a separate gluten free recipe, you cannot simply replace wheat flour with gluten free flour.
I’m here to challenge that idea.
I am testing out as many flour blends as possible in the most popular recipes.
How It Works
I am finding a basic recipe and replacing the flour that contains gluten with a gluten free flour blend.
I am keeping everything else in the recipe exactly the same. The same amounts of ingredients, the same ingredients as much as possible.
I do make sure my baking powder is gluten free as well as all other ingredients. But for the most part, I am keeping the recipe exactly the same, just gluten free.
I am even making sure that rise times are the same, ingredients are added in the same order, and everything else can be kept as a constant.
The idea is to compare all these different flour blends and to find which one works best in each recipe. These lists will be added to as the experiments are completed and ranked.
